My life in calisthenics has rewarded me with exciting achievements as a performer and coach of a calisthenic college equivalent to Championship status, having gained accreditation as an Advanced 2 Adjudicator, and in 2024 became a Calisthenics Victoria Examiner for the recently created CaliExams program in Victoria, being approved to examine from Foundation 1 through to the Elite and Platinum Bar streams.

My background to support this appointment is set out below:

  • Redeveloped the Aesthetic and Dance sections of the ACF Pupil Skills Program in 1995.
  • Appointed to the inaugural Examiner Advisory Board of the ACF Pupil Skills Program in 2000.
  • Extensive experience in examining all levels in the ACF program throughout Australia.
  • My contribution to the upgrading of the ACF Skills syllabus (and videos) was ongoing.
  • In 2024 co-produced a Medals program to ensure elite candidates in Victoria were not penalized by the removal of the ACF Skills program in Victoria as from November 2023 and were given the opportunity to complete their Medals training and performances through to Gold Medal with many obtaining Gold Medal with Honours.
  • Life Member of Calisthenics Victoria in 2015, Life Member of ASCA Victoria in 2018, ACF Life Membership in 2023, and Life Member of the Royal Academy of Dance.

Kylie Pitruzello

Kylie has been involved in calisthenics for over 37 years as a performer, 30 years as a coach and in my recent years as a writer and examiner. She is still currently competing as a Master and is a mum to 3 daughters who perform across 3 different ages (currently) Examining has been such a rewarding path and has allowed her to further develop and part her depth of knowledge and experience into every aspect of Calisthenics. Through her examining role, Kylie is passionate about upholding standards while supporting the development of candidates and coaches alike.

As a pupil, coach, mentor and examiner Kylie is passionate about developing a lifelong appreciation for the discipline, teamwork and performance Calisthenics fosters. Her transition into coaching/examining allowed her to share this knowledge, guiding performers to achieve both technical excellence and confidence during their team lessons, solos classes and performances on stage.

Kylie is deeply committed to the continued growth of Calisthenics and values the opportunity to contribute through examining. She enjoys seeing the students hard work and dedication of coaches, as they present their skills and technique during their exams, and takes pride in offering constructive feedback that supports the ongoing development of the students in Calisthenics.
