Youth Leadership Program Applications

The Youth Leadership Program is a brand-new initiative designed for Year 10 and 11 students and provides participants with the opportunity to develop their off-stage leadership skills to make a difference at their local cali club in a way that best fits the needs and goals of their club.

This youth leadership program is a great opportunity for participants to work alongside the amazing volunteers at our clubs to create and implement projects that will benefit the cali community.

Program Aims

The program aims to equip participants with the knowledge and capabilities to:

✔ Make a positive change at their calisthenics club

✔ Gain skills that can be used in all aspects of life

As well as all this, it is a chance for participants to make new friends with like-minded peers within the cali community and receive guidance and mentoring from our experienced team of staff here at Calisthenics Victoria.

Other outcomes include:

Increasing the volunteer pool for Calisthenics Victoria events and at a club level.

Program Fees

$335 per person

(fee includes accommodation, catering, all workshops, operating expenses)

Participants are encouraged to discuss the fee with their club contact. Although it is not a requirement, Clubs are encouraged to cover the cost of the program via a sponsorship of the participant and view it as an investment in the future of their club and future volunteer workforce.

Youth Advisory

The Youth Leadership Program will also double as a Youth Advisory Committee. In line with the Child Safety Standards, we want for the children and young people within our community to have a voice and to know that their voice is valued. We will aim to ensure that those selected for the program represent a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences in Calisthenics. The participants will be responsible for representing the views, values and ideas of young members in our sport. The Committee will be an integral part of Calisthenics Victoria. By sharing the issue that impact young people in our sport, their input will help shape the strategic planning and direction of Calisthenics Victoria.

Applications now open via the form: Youth Leadership Program application form, closing 11:59pm, Friday 31st July.
