  • There is no cost to register as a volunteer.
  • If you are not associated with a club, you may register directly under CaliVic.

Calisthenics Victoria Volunteer Code of Conduct

Volunteer Policy

Calisthenics Victoria values and supports our volunteers, providing clear guidelines, training and ongoing assistance. Our volunteer policy ensures a positive, respectful environment, essential for the success of our events.

Child Safety

At every calisthenics competition, our volunteers play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming experience.

As trusted adults guiding and supporting our participants, volunteers aren’t just helping events run smoothly — they are key contributors to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in our sport.

Calisthenics Victoria is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and child-safe environment for everyone involved in calisthenics. All volunteers are expected to understand and uphold high standards of behaviour and actively contribute to protecting children from harm, abuse and neglect.

Child Safety Training

To support our commitment to child safety, all volunteers are encouraged, and in some roles required, to complete child safety training. This training supports volunteers to:

  • Understand their responsibilities in keeping children safe and supported
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to concerns regarding child wellbeing
  • Understand policies, codes of conduct and legal obligations, including Working With Children Checks
  • Apply child-safe practices in all interactions at competitions and activities

Calisthenics Victoria takes a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse and neglect. This includes ensuring that everyone working with our young performers is informed, prepared and confident to act in the best interests of children.

Whether assisting with set-up, supervision, backstage support or competition delivery, volunteers play a critical role in maintaining a child-safe environment.
