CaliVic Introduces Its REFLECT Reconciliation Action Plan
Published Wed 13 May 2026
Calisthenics Victoria is proudly committed to progressing the reconciliation movement within our organisation. In 2026, we are excited to launch our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), Reflect, which has been formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia.
Reconciliation Australia’s RAP Framework provides organisations with a structured approach to advancing reconciliation. The framework of relationships, respect, and opportunities enables organisations to turn good intentions into meaningful action and to support the national reconciliation movement.
Calisthenics Victoria thanks our RAP Working Group, including Tara Hicks, our Inclusion and Diversity Officer, Em Stewart and Melanie Miles, for their unwavering support and guidance throughout this process.
We also thank artist Tarina Fanning for her contribution of the Community Spirit artwork. Combining each of our CaliVic values—confidence, courage, community, and connection—this artwork represents our clubs, members, and ongoing commitment to making calisthenics an inclusive and supportive sport for all.
A Reflect RAP helps prepare Calisthenics Victoria to engage in reconciliation in a meaningful way. Committing to a Reflect RAP begins with engaging staff and leaders in understanding the importance of reconciliation. It will guide us in developing relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders over the next 12 to 18 months.
