Investing in Cultural Understanding at Calisthenics Victoria

Our staff recently took part in a 4-hour in-person Cultural Awareness Training session led by Tarina Fanning (TFACTS), as part of our commitment to reconciliation and building a culturally safe organisation.
Tarina brings deep expertise in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural education, drawing on her extensive background in justice and Aboriginal health to guide meaningful, respectful conversations about First Nations history, culture, and ways of working together.
Many of you will also recognise Tarina's incredible talent beyond training — she created our beautiful Community Spirit artwork, which sits at the heart of our Reconciliation Action Plan and reflects the values we strive to embody as an organisation.
We're grateful for Tarina's generosity in sharing her knowledge with our team, and proud to keep taking steps forward on our reconciliation journey.
