Published Mon 27 Apr 2026

Calisthenics Victoria proudly recognises Kathy Schoer with Life Membership, celebrating more than three decades of outstanding service to the calisthenics community. Kathy began her journey in 1991 at Ceres Calisthenics Club, where she dedicated over 25 years as a committed volunteer across roles including Team Manager, Costume and Prop Coordinator and fundraising committee member.

Her contribution at club level was recognised with the Jenny Cowan Club Volunteer Award. She went on to play a significant role at a state level, serving more than ten years on the Team Grading Committee, where she contributed to fair and informed grading processes and supported volunteer development through timing training. Kathy continues her service today as a valued member of the Solo Grading Committee.

A tireless volunteer, Kathy has contributed extensively at competitions across Victoria and State Championships in roles such as Competition Supervisor, Assessor and Results Official—often dedicating hundreds of hours each year. She is also a trusted mentor, supporting and developing the next generation of volunteers.

Kathy has further supported the Victorian State Team and Development Squad in official roles on fifteen occasions and is a recipient of the prestigious Joy Smith Award.

Respected for her integrity, leadership and commitment, Kathy has made an exceptional and lasting contribution to calisthenics. Her Life Membership is a fitting recognition of her dedication and impact.
